When I look into their eyes

When I look into their eyes I see the wonder, the possibilities. When I see them shining back at me I cry. When I look into those deep blue eyes and see the love they have for me, it make me glad to be alive. When I look into my childrens eyes.

When I hear one of them cry, I am rushing to be beside them. When their tears are falling down like rain. To comfort them, and quiet them, to make them feel alright. It's all I want to do when I hear them cry.

When they're smiling oh so brightly, the sun it starts to dim. When they're happy it is all of my joy. I feel like I have all the treasure in the sea, when I see them smiling back at me.

At night as they lie sleeping, I feel all safe and warm. Comfort washes over me. I can't believe that God gave these two gifts to me. As I watch them sleeping peacefully.
